    Leadership

    Presented By

    Duane V. Ackerman

The St. Louis Chapter of the IMA is pleased to welcome Mr. Duane V. Ackerman, who will be speaking on the topic of leadership.  The subject of leadership gets top billing during presidential election years. Yet, this subject is always important. Do we really know what it’s all about? What it is, what it isn’t and why it is crucial for financial professionals in the new economy.
Mr. Duane V. Ackerman is a Past President of our chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants as well as a Past President of the Association of Computer Professionals.  Duane has a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.  He has over 30 years of experience in both accounting and Information systems. He has served as corporate controller, MIS director, and computer consultant. He is skilled in life-cycle systems design, financial analysis, project management, cash flow projections, inventory control, and credit management.
In this chapter year we have made some changes in hopes of getting our members home at an earlier hour. We have changed the format from a dinner to a happy hour format.  This will include appetizers and the usual cash bar. We hope that this new meeting format will allow more members to attend our meetings.
