Hello Members of the St. Louis Chapter of the IMA,
The Board of Directors of the St. Louis chapter has been using this summer
to plan the events and activities of the 2003-2004 IMA year. We are excited
about building from many successful activities that have taken place in
previous years. We are planning several joint meetings with other accounting
organizations so that our members will have local educational opportunities
as well as expanded networks of accounting professionals. We are also focusing
on implementing some changes to our means of communicating with you. After
this last hardcopy of the newsletter, we will communicate with you solely
through the use of email and our local website.
Due to the changes in our means of communication it is critical that
we have your current email address. To update and change any of your contact
information, including your email address, with the IMA complete the following
steps via the National website:

Log onto the national website: www.imanet.org

Select "Members only" and log in as a member of the IMA

To login use you membership number (provided on annual membership
card) and a password. The passwords are usually your last name, but follow
the directions provided on the screen if you need assistance in obtaining
your password.

Once you are logged in, select "My Profile".

Your profile will list all of your contact information.

Select "Update Address (es)" and then select the type of
address you want to change i.e. Primary, Alternate or Business.

Make your changes and select the "Submit" button.
We have also created a new local website located at www.stlouis.imanet.org.
Please check it out. In the near future we will be able to accept your
reservations for meetings through this website. It is also the best place
to find contact information and local meeting topics, dates, and locations.
The IMA has recently changed its competition and compensation models
for its chapters. This new model focuses on the core "products" of the
IMA, which include: Education, CMA/CFM Certification, Membership Development
and Membership Services. The St. Louis chapter will use these as a guideline
in developing local meetings and events. Please contact me with any suggestions
or changes that we can make to better serve you in these areas.
Please check out our meeting schedule and topics for the upcoming chapter
year. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you at one of our events this
year.
